In case you haven't seen the latest copy of ESPN the Magazine, this year's NFL preview has a ton of content from Football Outsiders, including division picks straight from FOA 2009 (including each team's projection broken down into percentage chance of being a Super Bowl contender, playoff contender, and so on). The focus of the issue as a whole is on the offensive line, and part of that focus is a giant glossary of offensive line terms written by Mike Tanier. ESPN has also expanded this glossary online with a couple of features. First, linked here, you can read Tanier's definitions along with comments from Mark Schlereth and Marcellus Wiley on the offensive lineman and defensive lineman's perspective on each type of block. Second, there are expanded definitions with play diagrams written by Doug Farrar, which you will find on this page.

Just in case Sunday night did not make it clear, defense rules the NFL in 2016. The best teams in overall DVOA all combine top-five defenses with below-average offenses. The Eagles now lead the league in both defense and special teams and are back to No. 1 overall.
