ESPN Insider asked us to do a series of capsule previews of each team, looking at one player on the rise, one player falling, and "one to watch." Rather than 32 different links from FO, we decided to group them as if this were another round of Four Downs. Here are links to the pieces on the NFC West along with which players are discussed:

Offensive line problems highlight the needs in the NFC North ... except in Chicago, which is kind of unsettling to think about.

Randy McMichael will be a major factor in the Rams' offensive scheme this year. While attending training camps over the summer, I noticed a major involvement with the TE under coach Shurmur's new offensive plans. Moving the chains will be a major hurdle for this team if 8 men are in the box and constantly eyeing SJax.
