ESPN INSIDER: WR Stats Misleading

Anquan Boldin's stats were down last year... but a lot of it had to do with the way he was used. Boldin may have been the league's best receiver on short routes, but short routes are naturally less productive than deep ones. Doug Farrar has more in this feature for ESPN Insider.

Boldin's stats were down but if you were to adjust his production from the 12 games he played (11 starts) then his season total climbs to approximately 1500 yards and roughly a TD a game. That is All Pro production. You could say he benefitted from playing opposite Fitzgerald, but you should probably say the same thing about Fitzgerald benefitting from playing opposite Boldin.

I have no idea if this is in the Insider article as I don't pay for insider.

Same here, and I refuse to pay for ESPN Insider.
