The question I have is, if Moss' performance is so awful, why wasn't this picked up preseason via KUBIAK or using qualitative analysis. if I recall, the almanac had Moss pegged as the most productive WR this season. Has he really regressed that much in a few months?

Sure, his performance hasn't been great so far, but it's hard for me to believe that he's simply fallen off a cliff. He still demands double teams and should continue to do so in Tennessee. Is there no value in that?

He's still an above-average receiver by DVOA, even with this season going about as badly as possible for him. And I don't think KUBIAK includes an "unstable personality" variable.

following up on the KUBIAK point, Moss was also the highest rated WR on the midseason KUBIAK released after week 4. What has become so apparent since then?

But he wasn't producing with Brady either.

I think what we're seeing is Moss has finally reached the age-related production drop-off point and KUBIAK didn't expect that to happen this year.

Could be, I suppose, but he fits the age profile too. I'm not sure he would be doing any better if he were going all-out, although obviously there's no way to know that.
