I know FO is partered with espn but these articles are all subscribers only content. This concerns me, is FO gonna start charging for its content? I've purchased fantasy football prospectus twice in the past 4 years and love it but to charge for the website material would be extortion at best. I pray that evidence to the contrary disproves my suspicions. Keep up the good work Barnwell, Tanier, Schatz and company.
There is as much, if not more, free content on this site as there always was. Anything on the ESPN site is simply extra.
This gets brought up for literally almost every ESPN article FO posts.
FO does charge for some content hosted here -- Premium, game charting data, KUBIAK, etc. -- but as Eddo noted, the amount of free content here has continued to grow, too. Regardless, subscription-based models are not "extortion," despite most consumers' preference (including my own) for ad-supported sites.
Also, it's nice that you purchased a publication called "fantasy football prospectus," but I have no idea what it has to do with this site. FO's annual, which focuses on more than just fantasy football, is called "Football Outsiders Almanac," and prior to 2009, "Pro Football Prospectus." (And was it "extortion" that you paid for their work when it came in hard-copy form?)
Random observation from preparing for a fantasy football draft: It seems that the projections for WR last year were much better than for RB. Any ideas as to why this could be?
So its gonna an advantage for me to render ESPN.
