Indianapolis' season is basically over at this point with Peyton Manning gone, but the Colts have also sustained a number of other injuries this season. This is not a one-year trend in the slightest -- the Colts lead the NFL in Adjusted Games Lost over the past five seasons. Why is that?

Re: ESPN: Analyzing the Colts' Injury Issues
I was really hoping for a more definitive answer.
Is it possible that Indy is an outlier because of just the safety position? They haven't been able to keep Sanders or Bullitt healthy in a long time. Maybe it's not a defense wide plague as much as an issue with that one position.
For such a wide espoused theory, I don't feel comfortable with how little evidence there is for it.
It's a question that keeps me up at night, and I have no idea how to tackle it any better than this piece did.

George RR Martin just released a popular genre book. Apple computer's corporate structure changed. The US opens domestic oil fields. Maybe poster thought it was 1977.
