The San Francisco 49ers have put together an offense that's nearly on par with their dominant defense, and they've done it with an offensive line that is clearing space in the run game to a historic degree.

The Falcons and Bucs are still lacking edge rushers, the Saints need someone to protect Drew Brees, and the Panthers desperately need a second good wideout.

Well, I won't be reading that (Insider)

Just have a look at the adjusted line yards page, it'll give you the gist. The season record is the 2002 Broncos at 5.06 and only one other team has gone above 5.00.
Re: ESPN: 49ers' Golden Ground Game
As a long-standing 49ers homer, I can only hope to be reading headlines like this going into February...

Spam filter ate my real post.
Basically, Alex Boone (RG) has been a huge upgrade over Adam Snyder. Boone is looking like one of the league's better guards right now, while Snyder (playing for Arizona?) is still one of the league's worst.
Anthony Davis (RT) has also improved a lot in his 3rd year. He was only 20ish when he was drafted, so he's a similar age to several rookie o-linemen this year.
Finally our coaches have been super creative with the running game. I think we had a game where 9 different people ran the ball.
Frank Gore gave a lot of credit Greg Roman for the 620 yard day. It's expected that "G-Ro" will be a head coach somewhere else after this season.
