The answer: Probably not yet, but the Bears need to find some young stars to replace their aging veterans.

Young players other than Melton, Paea, Wooton, McClellin, Conte and Wright. Isaiah Frey has been running at nickel with the ones, Bostic too and Greene is the guy to hopefully replace Briggs down the line. So that is five good starters, a former first rounder expected to contribute (recent strong report from Matt Bowen), the probable first string nickel back and two young linebackers who may not be needed yet.
Yes they could do with adding at least one corner in next year's draft but the cupboard isn't bare.
The only ones out that group that I consider solid starters and/or potential stars are Melton, Paea, Conte, and (maybe) Bostic. Out of that, Melton is the only one I'm confident will reach the level of the aging defensive anchors.
For quarterbacks, the feet are the window to the mind.
