ESPN: Five Players That Should Be Franchised

Who should be franchised? Why, the people with the cheapest tags, naturally. And Joe Flacco.

"That" can be used with people, though may not be preferred. "Who" can't be used with things. In some cases, "that" simply reads better - which I think it does in this case.

A little googling will find sites that go both ways :

The ESPN article linked uses 'who.'

Not sure that means anything, but there it is.

Yeah, that's the more acceptable usage, and probably something editors look for. But I see and hear "players that" or similar so much that I think it's becoming more common.

It's always been common.

"Keller was always perceived as a focal point for the Jets offense, yet when he got hurt last season, few noticed his absence."

Really? I think most people following the Jets found Keller's absence quite conspicuous. And I think his career DVOA has suffered by his having played for the last four years with one of the most inaccurate passers in the league.

Now, now. Let's be fair.

Last season Keller played with two of the most inaccurate passers in the league.

I never support such things because then those players become very costly to afford.

powder coating cost

So your advice would be to powder coat your free agents as an alternative to the franchise tag?
