ESPN: 30 Best Special Teams of the Last 30 Years

Part three of our feature on the greatest teams of the DVOA era looks at the best special teams units since 1987. Seven of the top 30 were coached in some way by Dave Toub, who worked for the Chicago Bears in the 2000s and works for the Kansas City Chiefs today. Other teams with multiple appearances on this list include New Orleans, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Buffalo, and Cleveland. Tomorrow, we'll look at the top 30 teams overall, and we finish up Friday with top individual seasons.

Dave Toub = The most incredulously ignored Head Coach candidate in the last decade. The guy knows how to manage an entire roster and how to get 100% out of his players.

One day someone will realise that he is the perfect candidate to build an entire roster whilst attracting off/def coordinators who know they will have more room to shine as they won't have an ex off/def coordinator hovering over their shoulder!!

Completely agree, how does he not have his own team.

I agree. It worked for the Ravens and John Harbaugh as well.
