ESPN: Ranking 0-2 Teams by Playoff Odds

You've all heard those stats about how only 12 percent of teams since 1990 have made the playoffs after starting 0-2. Yet at least one team has done it each of the past four seasons. Who has the best chance this year? Unfortunately, the best 0-2 team so far is also stuck in a division with three 2-0 teams.

I had the same thought - the Chargers are, to me, easily the best of the 0-2 teams, but that division is brutal. Gotta think they will heavily decide who wins the AFC West - as in who out of DEN/KC/OAK plays the Chargers worst.

The only two 0-2 teams I could see in the playoffs are NYG and IND. NYG because they are still just 1 game behind, haven't had a home divisional game. IND contingent on Luck coming back by Week 6 or so. Even then, they may really rue letting the ARZ game slip away.

It's interesting that, given Luck's injury, I'm only really surprised by two 0-2 teams in CIN and IND, and no 2-0 team really shocks me that much.

At a macro level, this season has gone fairly according to script so far.

I thought the script said that Denver would be 1-1 at best?

I guess, but it is that surprising they are 2-0 with having played two home games?

Some small things are odd (like NE dropping week 1), but nothing has totally shocked me so far - maybe CIN being this bad on offense.

If Dalton plays at his level from prior years (mediocre), instead of his abysmal play so far, then I would expect Cin to have a winning record.

I always felt that Dalton's play has been buoyed by his supporting cast...a fact that's been laid bare when the Bengals didn't feel the need to pay for an offensive line this year.
