Once upon a time, the Ravens brought pressure, but Michael Vick was great when pressured. Last week, the Ravens didn't bring as much pressure, and Michael Vick was awful when pressured. What wins out this Sunday?

Offensive line problems highlight the needs in the NFC North ... except in Chicago, which is kind of unsettling to think about.

Re: ESPN Upset Watch: Ravens over Eagles
The Ravens/Eagles game will be fascinating, if only to see if Flacco has actually taken a leap forward while Vick has continued to regress.
Re: ESPN Upset Watch: Ravens over Eagles
Well as an Eagles fan who suffered the Browns game, and then watched CIN BAL yesterday, I definitely would not call that an upset. As always, it's all about Vick or nearly. I think the defense can do a fairly good job, but without a very good Vick AND better playcalling (like you know, running the ball), I don't have much hope.
I especially don't look forward to NGata/Cody vs Jason Kelce AT ALL (despite his awesome beard).
Re: ESPN Upset Watch: Ravens over Eagles
How on earth would this be considered an upset? The Eagles barely beat Cleveland and Baltimore obliterated Cinci. This seems like such an odd headline.

Talk to Vegas, looks like the Eagles are favored by a point to me.
Re: ESPN Upset Watch: Ravens over Eagles
I think it opened at Eagles -3. I had to look at the paper twice before I realized it wasn't a misprint. I only hope Vegas knows something that 99.99% of the rest of the world doesn't.
Re: ESPN Upset Watch: Ravens over Eagles
The Bears game last night was a good example of why not to get carried by a dominant offensive performance against a bad team in week 1. I didn't see the Eagles in week 1 so have no idea quite how bad they looked, but these teams would have been considered roughly equal before the start of the season and it is not shrewd book-making to throw out everything you already know about them on the basis of one game.
Re: ESPN Upset Watch: Ravens over Eagles
Yes, maybe technically an upset, but not an "upset."
Re: ESPN Upset Watch: Ravens over Eagles
The eagles have plenty of reasons to be optimistic about this game. Its at home 1. the Defense looked outrageously strong on the road - even if it was against the woeful browns. 3- Mike vick can't possibly be as lousy as he was last week right? right??
In all honesty, I feel like flacco is the one that the media is massively overrating. One really stellar game and now the ravens are unbeatable? They absolutely annihilated pittsburgh last year and that didn't exactly foreshadow a season of blowouts on the way to a 14-2 season now did it?
Re: ESPN Upset Watch: Ravens over Eagles
The Ravens finished 12-4, and half of their wins were by 14 points or more. So: not exactly, but almost.
