Lane Johnson and D.J. Fluker were selected high in the draft, but both have troubling flaws in pass protection according to Word of Muth.

Re: Packers' Defensive Success Won't Last
ESPN always hates on the Packe. Worthless network.
Re: Packers' Defensive Success Won't Last
And for all those years, Bill Barnwell has been leading the anti-Pack charge as ESPN's cheese-hater-in-chief. It's been, like, decades, right? Maybe even a century.
Re: Packers' Defensive Success Won't Last
You know that guy in the commercial who gets cut and bleeds green and yellow?
I beat up that guy.
Re: Packers' Defensive Success Won't Last
Just saw this stat: Drew Brees has thrown 11 interceptions so far this season. Packers defense will make it (at least) 12 monday night.
I have a blog where I post objective, predicive power rankings of NFL teams.
Re: Packers' Defensive Success Won't Last
Isn't it amazing how people always think that media outlets are biased against their favourite team? It couldn't be that they're biased TOWARDS that same team, could it? Na.
Re: Packers' Defensive Success Won't Last
Hey Bill, thanks for the numbers. I posted this in the other thread about the Pack scoring defense, and will bring it up again here. Is there any way this is tied to the NUMBER of possible returns? I mean, I think you guys have probably proved that the likelihood of an INT TD is based on what yardline the D intercepts it at and what type of pattern is picked off--I mean, any football fan knows that an interception off of an out pattern is more likely to be taken to the house versus a fade or fly pattern.
Re: Packers' Defensive Success Won't Last
I don't think any Packer fans were counting on the defense being able to keep taking it to the house with regularity. This feels like an unneeded diss, as if Packer fans expected their defense to score a dozen TDs every year now.
Re: Packers' Defensive Success Won't Last
Yes, in that way Packer fans are smarter than, say, Lovie Smith.

Clearly, you haven't read the comments to this article on ESPN.com.

No, I haven't. Why would I? That stuff rots your brain.
