ESPN: Promising Start for Irish
The opening weekend of the college football season didn't feature too many major upsets, and our preseason projections are going to continue to influence the ratings for the first part of the year. That said, a couple of teams including Notre Dame, Ohio, and Nebraska were impressive enough in Week 1 that their total FEI season win projection improved by at least a full game. A couple of others had their season win projections dip, even in victory.

Was anyone else completely unaware that touchbacks were coming out to the 25 this year?

What a big win it was (according to Lou Holtz). Because of this win, Holtz upped his prediction from 9 wins to 11 for the Irish this season. Now all they have to do is go out and win 10 more.
