Week 12 Rundown

In this week's rundown, Mike previews the somewhat unexciting Thanksgiving NFL slate, tries to avoid the "Super Bowl Preview" hype surrounding the Bears and Patriots, and gives up on the Eagles. Make sure you also check out Mike's ode to Thanksgiving football over on the FO FOX blog.

Apparently, Rich Eisen acted alone.

Thanks, Mike, now I gotta deal with the relatives and cleaning soda off my monitor.

I'm pretty certain the Ravens/Steelers game will be a tight one. These teams hate each other so much that neither side will allow anything but a nailbiter. The Ravens will have to win through the air, McNair will have to continue to play well. Big Ben has to beat the Ravens secondary deep, Ward might be out, maybe its Santonio's time to shine.

"Any time you give up 200 yards rushing, that's despicable," linebacker Lofa Tatupu said after lamenting the start of duck season.

good one, Daffy.

I'll second that. The touchdown component of Ben's passer rating is higher against Baltimore than against any other team he has faced more than once.

The Vikings come out to "Welcome to the Jungle"? Thats's just stuuupid. Everyone knows the Bengals play in the "Jungle" Have been for years. We even have Jungle themed walls at PBS!

I'm sending a cease and desist order to the great white north.

Very Funny Column btw...

Note on NE/CHI -- Pats have placed Josh Miller (P) on IR (shoulder) and replaced him with former Pats' punter Ken Walters.

You'd think they'd come out to something like "Immigrant Song".
