In today's recap: LT Plays Maris and Ford to Alexander's Bambino, Indy's run defense falls yet again; Manning the Younger is Manning the Better for once; the Saints are decidedly for real; the Bengals discover that sometimes, circumstances make men (especially on defense); Adrian Wilson gets the namecheck he deserves; and the Quarterback Switcheroo is biting two AFC West teams right in the tuckus.

Here's a catch-all thread for discussion of the last two weeks worth of posts on the Football Outsiders FOX blog. Covered: Fantasy football Hall of Fame candidate capsules, charting thoughts on Cincinnati and Baltimore, Oakland offense vs. Oakland defense, the least consistent teams of the decade (Jacksonville is number two), the Colts vs. history, and the decline and fall of Michael Clayton.

In this week's column I propose that if Eli Manning were named Eli Jones, he never would have been drafted No. 1 overall, never would have had such high expectations, and would be discussed more rationally.

"The Giants sure did throw a great Blame Party last week. They had kegs of blame, bottles of blame, blame mojitos. They played Pass the Buck and Pin the Tail on the Scapegoat." That and other Mike Tanier classics, available now in the Week 14 rundown.

This column is an updated version of what I wrote about Chris Chambers in the pre-draft AFC East Four Downs. Hint: He's not that good.

Live, from the Howard Johnson Express in Bellmawr, New Jersey -- Quick Reads! This week: Evil Rex will not die, a shocking last-place finisher among running backs, some defensive back comments, and a very interesting fantasy football fact from Al Bogdan.

It was a strange day for quarterbacks. Signal callers with single-digit quarterback ratings won games, one field general with negative net passing yardage landed in the win column, and Rex Grossman proved the well-rounded nature of his Chicago team by putting forth a horrid, but victorious, effort. I hope this week was the final nail in the coffin for that most ridiculous NFL stat: W-L records for quarterbacks.

Tony Romo's success allows us to make some Jessica Simpson jokes. Lots and lots of Jessica Simpson jokes. And yet, they won't let Jessica Simpson do one of those ridiculous "Simpsons character makes NFL picks" columns. Plus: Mike Shanahan steals the wrong Belichick playbook, Vince Young messes up his travel plans, and Dr. House takes on the Philadelphia Eagles.

This week's post goes BACK IN TIME to 2002. Looking back in the eighteen years of previous player history, was there anything to tell Matt Millen whether Charles Rogers, Roy Williams, and Mike Williams would even be good wide receivers?
Please also note that those three wideouts don't appear in the numbers because they haven't played the necessary number of seasons (5) to qualify for the study's results.
