Here's this week's look at the best and worst performances of the week by DPAR, delayed a day due to the Jewish holiday. That's right, DPAR -- this week we add in opponent adjustments for the first time. It was a big week for quarterbacks named Marc(k) and a bad week for quarterbacks recovering from ACL injuries. Also: Is Reggie Bush the NFL's worst running back when it comes to actual running? (By the way, DVOA ratings are also delayed due to the holiday, and Any Given Sunday is delayed because Ned had some travel problems this weekend.)

The Ravens and Chargers played to a thrilling (for Baltimore) and confounding (for San Diego) finish in the AFC's top contest. The NFC's #1 matchup was far less compelling, as the Bears thrashed Seattle in every possible fashion and took the conference lead. Jerricho Cotchery and Marques Colston get namechecks, the other receiver in Dallas is discussed, and the true magnitude of “370 is revealed again.

More than any current NFL owner, Davis is a football man first and a businessman second. Don't let his failures in old age obscure what he did in the past.

Two teams, both 3-0, sitting on top of easy divisions: one of the teams in this weekend's Chicago-Seattle matchup will be representing the NFC in the Super Bowl. Also this week: Boston sportswriters lose their minds, Baltimore learns about guts and stomps, and Billy Volek is surprisingly flammable.

Not my best effort, but I'm a bit under the weather.

Reviewing Cincinnati's revenge, Jacksonville's "almost" game, Minnesota's newfound respect, Steve Smith's insane value, why Ernie Accorsi should have let sleeping dogs lie, and a lot of numbers that (hopefully) hold some meaning.

Tim Gerheim's start-and-sit recommendations are back for Week 3, the beginning of bye season. There's also an observation about the historic pace (through two games) of Larry Johnson, and "Jake Delhomme Syndrome."

Do you like instant replay? Me neither. But it's not going anywhere, so we might as well figure out how to make it work. Here are some suggestions.
