HELP WITH KUBIAK AND/OR PREMIUM
We've received some contact emails requesting some instructions on accessing the Premium Database and the KUBIAK spreadsheet. This handy primer should help.
General Purchasing Help
Some of you have yelled at us for confining your purchasing experience to a PayPal account. You don't want a PayPal account. You should be able to purchase things without it. Why, oh why can't we make it so that you don't need a PayPal account?? Fear not, for you need not have a PayPal account to purchase our wares. When you go through the purchase process at the Football Outsiders Online Store, you are taken to a PayPal payment page, where you can log in if you have an account. On the left side, though, just above all the credit card logos, is a link that takes you to where you can pay without a PayPal account. It's always been there.
KUBIAK
When you purchase the KUBIAK spreadsheet through the Online Store, and you paid via PayPal with a credit card or PayPal account, you will be taken back to a confirmation page that contains the link to download the file. If you don't download it then -- or if you've paid via eCheck or have an issue with PayPal funds -- follow the instructions below to download the file:
- 1. Go to the Online Store
- 2. Click on My Account in the blue box on the left.
- 3. If you aren't logged in already, log in using the form
- 4. In the Previous Orders list, click on the View button next to the order in which you purchased the KUBIAK spreadsheet.
- 5. At the bottom of the Order Information section -- just above the Status History & Comments -- will be a 'download' button. The Item Name is also a link. Clicking either of those will start download the file.
We've also had reports of some people not being unable to unzip the file, but have not yet been able to pinpoint the issue -- browser, platform, day of week...nothing. If you have issues unzipping the file, please send an email to benjy-at-footballoutsiders-dot-com with "KUBIAK ZIP" as the subject line, and we'll email the excel files to you. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.
Yes, we're kidding about 4-6 weeks. Same-day delivery in most cases.
Premium
Premium access requires being logged into the Online Store. If you're logged in, you can click on the top banner (above the FO masthead) or use the menu dropdowns (at the bottom of "About This Site" and "Just The Stats") to get to the Premium section. If you're in the store, and are already logged in, click on PREMIUM DATABASE in the blue box on the left side.
Update: We've had a few support requests from subscribers who have purchased Premium Access but still can't get to the Premium section even though they're logged in. If this describes you, please send an email to benjy-at-footballoutsiders-dot-com and we'll fix it. Please make sure to include the email address you used to sign in to the store.
