This week, I write some exam questions based on the 49ers quarterback change, and Matt Cassel's appendix appeals its suspension.

The link doesn't work.
Neither does the link if you go to NYTimes.com and navigate to the blog section. I think they're just messed up over there.
the 5th down blog stuff doesn't work from the times own sports page when i try from there as well
Works for me.
"Poor Skelton steps out" - favorite reference ever.
Holy crap! As if I didn't love Mike to begin with, a reference to an obscure song from a (relatively) obscure band that just happens to be my favorite of all time! I think I'm gonna swoon.
When life gives you Oranges and Lemons...
It fits in there so nice that I didn't even catch it.
Loved this reference. It's woven in there perfectly.
Nice link on Skelton's name too. Didn't catch that at first.
I suppose you're using all the plays-on-words that you can since the chances of him ever being featured prominently in an NFL article again are pretty slim.
Link is working now. Excellent as usual.
I like the image of Roethlisberger as a flounder.
Depends which way the eyes go. If they go the wrong way, Steelers lose on a fluke play.
One good reason to support an 18-game schedule: more Tanier matchup columns!
Isn't the proper (Ferguson) phrasing "And the other one is Tarvaris Jackson"?
Snow favors the Bills, jajaja
what a downfall from Fortuna iuvat audaces!!
Your analysis of the Jags ticket sales is poor... they have two weeks until the deadline for the Redskins games and they are in much better shape now than they generally are two weeks before the deadline. In fact they had a similar number to sell for the Raiders game at the beginning of this week. Barring a disaster (ie. going 0-2 in the next two games in combination with a day-after-Christmas game) the Jags will have a blackout-free season.
Matchup column win!
