The Philly blurb made me LOL. Made me think of the armies of Orcs in Lord of the Rings who are overwhelming in numbers and in appearance, but simply lambs to the slaughter come battle time.

What is the NY Times trying to insinuate by making the Chargers' marble (ball, sphere, whatever...) twice as big as that of any other team?

I've been coming here off and on for about four years, and I have to say that this is the first time I can say I honestly have no idea what Raiderjoe wrote. I can usually figure it out after some careful study, but this time? I take it he doesn't like the NY Times, but other than that, it appears to be an acronym, and then just totally falls of the rails of successful communication.

Sorry for bad typing. Got poisonrd by food Friday afternooon. Dehyddarated still on saturday nkght. No beeer drink. Anywat was trying to gett acfross don't like NYT showing NFL as N.F.L. and nba as n.b.a. Hate it.

I don't like the periods either. I have to go back at the end of writing and put all of the periods and "the"'s in in strange places. The plus side is that everyone knows what paper the material appeared in!
