The Philly blurb made me LOL. Made me think of the armies of Orcs in Lord of the Rings who are overwhelming in numbers and in appearance, but simply lambs to the slaughter come battle time.

I've been coming here off and on for about four years, and I have to say that this is the first time I can say I honestly have no idea what Raiderjoe wrote. I can usually figure it out after some careful study, but this time? I take it he doesn't like the NY Times, but other than that, it appears to be an acronym, and then just totally falls of the rails of successful communication.
Greta column, as always.
Sorry for bad typing. Got poisonrd by food Friday afternooon. Dehyddarated still on saturday nkght. No beeer drink. Anywat was trying to gett acfross don't like NYT showing NFL as N.F.L. and nba as n.b.a. Hate it.
I don't like the periods either. I have to go back at the end of writing and put all of the periods and "the"'s in in strange places. The plus side is that everyone knows what paper the material appeared in!

The NFC west crack was my favorite.

Re: Inverse Ninja Theory
... and remember, an oversized takedown (Legolas vs. Mammoth) still only counts as one, for anyone going against Albert Haynesworth.

Mike's Matchups columns are worth checking out, regardless of what you think of the Times' other coverage.

". . . a little short for a stormtrooper." Comedy gold!
Re: Week 1 N.F.L. Matchups
First I was surprised the Steelers were only favored by two over the Ravens. And then I realized the Ravens were favored.
Re: Week 1 N.F.L. Matchups
Dolphins will win! Dolphins will win!
Bah! Who am I kidding... The Patriots are much superior.
Wait, no. Dolphins will win!

A Beauty and the Beast reference. Damn I hated that show.
Re: Week 1 N.F.L. Matchups
The singing furniture was interesting.
Re: Week 1 N.F.L. Matchups
Ugh, Linda Hamilton. I always called that show "Beast and the Beast".
Re: Week 1 N.F.L. Matchups
What is the NY Times trying to insinuate by making the Chargers' marble (ball, sphere, whatever...) twice as big as that of any other team?

Please never, ever change Raiderjoe.

Re: Week 1 N.F.L. Matchups
Mike, if I were you, I'd start to worry about that Walt Bennet guy from Harrisburg. He's WAY too into your N.Y.T. column.
