I'm a big NFL Network fan, and I'm pleased to see it branching out. It has signed a deal to show the Insight Bowl, which matches a Big Ten team with a Big 12 team each December. Although all the major conferences already have TV contracts for regular-season games, I'd like to see NFL Network show more college football throughout the year.

Forget Reggie Bush and his number 5, Peter King has maybe his funniest quote ever when talking about Matt Leinart: "Why do I get the feeling this guy might be more Pat O'Brien than Ken O'Brien?"

It looks like Fran Foley's streak of failing upwards has been Zygi Wilfed. Of course, if the allegations against Foley prove true, you have to wonder why Wilf hired him in the first place. (free registration/bugmenot required)

Bam Morris wants another shot at the NFL. He was released from prison in 2004 and currently leads the National Indoor Football League's Katy Copperheads in rushing. Yeah, I didn't know there was a National Indoor Football League either.

I don't know where to start with this column by Rob Parker in the Detroit News. First, I want more detail on these trade offers the Lions got for Charles Rogers. What are teams willing to give up for him? Given his production during his three years in the league, I find it extraordinarily unlikely that any team was offering anything of substance for him. Secondly, Parker writes that the Lions "never had a legal leg on which to stand" when trying to get some of Rogers' signing bonus back after he was suspended for drug use.

Let me tell you why Mike Nolan is a very selfish person: By trading Ken Dorsey for Trent Dilfer, I now have to re-write my Cleveland Browns chapter for PFP 2006. Seriously, I wonder if Nolan will name Dilfer the starter giving Alex Smith a little more time to recover from his off-season hand enlargement operation.

Remember a couple of weeks ago when we all laughed at the Patriots signing Martin Grammatica? That was nothing compared to Atlanta signing Seth Marler. We are really scraping the bottom of the kicker barrel now. Do the Falcons understand just how bad Marler was? You are talking about a guy who has not kicked in the NFL in three years, and in his one season was worth an astonishing 27 points below the average NFL kicker. Did Todd Peterson kill Jim Mora's children or something?

I was just thinking the other day, after watching 18 hours of draft coverage, that nothing would be sweeter than to take a look ahead to 2007. I am officially burned out on all this draft talk, but if you just can't get enough, here are the top 100 college players for next year. Number one on your 2007 draft board and number one in your heart: Brady Quinn.

One of my buddies is a Virginia Tech alum and last week he mentioned that CB Jimmy Williams had already ordered a $350,000 Lamborghini in anticipation of being a top 15 pick in the draft. At the time I didn't believe him but apparently it's true. The good news is the car is on the way. The bad news is that Williams wasn't drafted until 37th. Last year Derrick Johnson was the 15th pick and he signed a contract worth roughly $10 million in guaranteed money.

Guest columnist Jared Cohen's research shows that Philadelphia may not be the only offense that sees an unusually high rate of opposing injuries.
