If the Philadelphia Daiily News report [1] that Jacksonville Jaguars owner Wayne Weaver is considering selling the team as a possible precursor to a franchise move to L.A. is true (Weaver has released a statement [2] refuting the report), don't count on receiver Matt Jones making the trip. Firstcoastnews.com reports that Jones has been arrested while in a Toyota 4Runner truck, in a known drug area in Arkansas. According to the preliminary arrest report, Jones was "sitting in the back seat of the car with a white card with a white powdery substance on it, and a credit card in his other hand."
Jones has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Since being selected 21st overall in the 2005 NFL draft, Jones has never really impressed, and the team's off-season overhaul of its receiver corps set a tone that Jones obviously didn't hear.
