It was a grand experiment, taking a hot new format and marrying it with content that begs for an up-to-the-second methodology. The downside is that being so far ahead of the curve was always a risk. With plenty of free content from trusted names like Adam Schefter, Sigmund Bloom and literally hundreds of others, it was tough to give a value up front. To me, $5 was a reasonable, low cost, but I don't feel I made my case well enough. Perhaps more would have come down the line, but with any business, there's a point where you have to say "Is this working?" We reached that point.
Simply put, the technical challenges, the lack of any comparable business model, and competition doomed this. Perhaps someone will come up with a workable subscription model at some point; I'd hate to think that this couldn't work at all. Good content deserves a return. It's just not working with my business model. I do want to thank everyone who paid and want to personally assure them that they will get a full refund. I'll continue to update you with Black and Blue Report each week here at Football Outsiders.
(Aaron Schatz adds: I'll be going through and giving refunds through Paypal to all those who ordered Twinjuries separately. I doubt there are any Premium subscribers who would choose to cancel their subscriptions due to the cancellation of Twinjuries... but if you do feel that way, please e-mail us at mailbag-at-footballoutsiders.com and we shall take care of you.)
