HATERS ARE GOING TO HATE UNTIL THEY HAVE TO RELATE

SANS BITCH, AS THE FRENCH IN FRANCE SAY

"I want to stress ... that nothing about what i have learned has shaken my faith in Manti Te’o one iota ... YOU MUST NOT USE YOUR TROPHY FOR PERSONAL GAIN, SPIDERMAN, THAT IS OUR JOB

PEYTON WOULD HAVE JUST AUDIBLED TO THE RUN ANYWAY

"There is a certain amount of shock value. It’s like a fighter being on the ropes — it didn’t seem like the time to go for a knockout punch. It didn’t seem to be the right time to go for the jugular. I’d do that again 10 times out of 10 if faced with that situation." -- Broncos head coach John Fox, on not attempting to drive for a game-winning field goal with Peyton Manning, two timeouts, and 30 seconds (Denver Post)

BIG EAST CONFERENCE, EXIT FEES CONFERENCE, SAME THING

"With today’s announcement, SDSU’s membership continues uninterrupted and helps the Mountain West maintain a solid foundation going forward. The Aztecs remain a perfect fit geographically and provide the Conference with a highly-competitive athletics program that includes a Top 25 men’s basketball team, a 2012 MW tri-champion in football and several other league championship programs." -- Mountain West Conference commissioner Craig Thompson, on keeping San Diego State from jumping to the Big East (College Football Talk)

YOU MIGHT NEED TO BITE INTO A TOWEL WHILE READING THIS

"There was a period of a year and a half or two years when I couldn’t put my kids to bed. My wife and I laugh about it. You have to bend down. I couldn’t with their weight. I would just hover. GRAND THEFT AUTO: PORTLAND

"He was observed by one of our police officers riding on a scooter that did not have a tag attached to the scooter. YES, HAVING NEAR FLAWLESS HEALTH FROM STARS NOT NAMED BRIAN CUSHING IS A CURSE -- WOE ARE THE TEXANS

"Last year and this year for some reason, players that we’ve lost have been key players. It’s not our backup players; it’s some of our top players. As we develop more depth, when those things happen it’ll hurt us less and less." -- Texans owner Bob McNair, on his team bowing in the divisional round again (Houston Chronicle)

"I WOULD KNOW," KIFFIN ADDED, "AS I HAVE OVERSEEN MANY OF THEM"

"Contrary to media reports, there was not a brawl or altercation in our locker room after the Sun Bowl. There was a noisy verbal exchange among a couple players who were frustrated with the outcome of the game. It lasted less than a minute. There was nothing physical. That happens sometimes in football locker rooms after a disappointing loss." -- USC head coach Lane Kiffin, on reports of an altercation (ESPN)

THE INMATES WOULD BE RUNNING THE ASYLUM IF WE COULD FIND THEM

"I am very surprised at that, very surprised. I just don’t understand that move. Point blank. Period. Coach Z was a great run-blocking coach and he really explained the run game, and he really broke things down to where you could really understand things better. And he was great in the development of all of us. I just don’t get why you would want to let a guy like that go." -- Titans tight end Jared Cook, on the dismissal of his position coach despite how he has failed to take meaningful steps forward for the last three seasons (The Tennessean)

"We are asking if anyone has any information about Kenny Britt’s whereabouts to contact the Jersey City police department, and that includes the owner of the Titans. Anybody who has information where he is or has a phone number where he can be reached, please contact the police department’s investigative division at 201-547-5460. He is still not cooperating." -- New Jersey police captain Edgar Martinez, on the then-absent Kenny Britt (The Tennesseean)

BUT THINK OF THE STORIED TRADITION OF LEGENDS AND LEADERS!

"I don't take umbrage to negative reaction. I don't necessarily change when I hear it. I think on the other hand, we said we would test-market it, and we have for a couple of years. We have the opportunity to look at it again." -- Big 10 commissioner Jim Delaney, on possibly changing the names of his "Legends" and "Leaders" conferences (Dr. Saturday)

It would seem that Darnell Dockett is desperate for some company to the strip clubs.

I'm pretty sure Darnell Dockett has the greatest Twitter account of any NFL player.

The John Fox quote just makes me sad.

I love how much the Broncos defense has improved over the last two seasons, so I've appreciated him as a coach for that reason as I think he's partly responsible, but it's brain boggling how conservative he is.
