SITE NEWS: FO Adds Matt Hinton to College Coverage

Well, the folks at CBS Sportsline got the jump on us, but that means we're finally allowed to publicly announce the addition of Matt Hinton to our college football coverage. Many of you will know Matt from his Sunday Morning Quarterback blog, and then from his time writing "Dr. Saturday" for Yahoo. He'll be writing both for the CBS college football blog and for Football Outsiders next season. For FO, he's taking over both the Monday college football wrap-up column (which may be re-named, we're not sure yet) and the Thursday weekend preview "Seventh Day Adventure." He'll also be covering three conferences in the college football portion of Football Outsiders Almanac 2012. We're really excited to bring such a well-respected writer to our college football coverage, and hope this helps us take the next big step in making FO's college football content as must-read as our NFL content.

Adding Matt does not mean we are losing Robert Weintraub. He'll still be on staff, writing articles here and there and writing NFL chapters for FOA 2012.

This is fantastic. Hinton is the best college football writer out there, and I've been waiting for him to resurface.

Nice! Quite a pickup by FO. I was bummed when Matt left Dr. Saturday, been wondering when he was going to pop up again somewhere.

That really is outstanding news. I have read Matt's stuff from his SMQ days onward. He will be a tremendous addition to your stable.

Finally! Matt's departure from Dr. Saturday has left a serious void in my college football reading. As someone who didn't even know this site existed before, let me just say it is now bookmarked and I look forward to his return.
