SITE NEWS: Football Outsiders Almanac 2016 Now Available (UPDATE: Print Version Also!)

It's done! You can now download our new book, Football Outsiders Almanac 2016.

If you already purchased a copy of the book in PDF form, either alone or as part of one of our package deals, click MY FO DOWNLOADS in the upper left corner of our website and you can download a copy of the book there.

If you have not purchased the book yet, a PDF version is $15 and you can purchase it here.

Printed versions should be available through Amazon and Createspace by the weekend.

A smaller PDF version that only contains the college football sections of FOA 2016 is also available for $6.

As always, we rush this thing out the door in the last couple weeks of work, so there are always errors and typos. Please help us out by informing us of errors you find on our FOA 2016 Inevitable Mistake and Typo Thread. We'll fix as many as we can before submitting for the printed version publication.

You can continue to come back to this thread in the coming days. I'll add updates at the bottom of this thread when the print version is available, when the college football-only version is available, and when we do new versions that fix typos and punctuation errors.

UPDATE: Version 2 is now available for download, fixing many of the early typos and errors.

UPDATE 2: The college football-only version of the book is now available for purchase.

UPDATE 3: Oops. We announced that and then forgot to actually load up the document. It's in our files now, you can go and download the FO College Football Almanac.

UPDATE 4: We've uploaded Version 3 that fixes a few additional errors as well as spacing issues with the QB player comments. This is the version that will be submitted for print publication, and we'll let everyone know when the printed book is available for purchase.

UPDATE 5: The print version of FOA 2016 can now be purchased through Createspace for $24.95. Please remember that Createspace's estimates of shipping time are notoriously ridiculous. Ignore them. It ships in a normal amount of time. The book will be on Amazon soon but we will note that we receive higher royalties for purchases through Createspace.

UPDATE 6: And, we're now available through Amazon as well. Thanks to everyone for their patience with the process this year!

Awesome. Do you get a little more of a taste if I click through to Amazon (Hey, I'm old. I like books) from your site, or should I just use my own Amazon link?

We make the most money with a PDF purchase. Second, buying the print copy through Createspace. Third, buying through Amazon from a link on our site. Fourth, buying through Amazon from someone else's link.

Hmmm...I just bought the PDF version, but how do I actually download the file now? When I go to the "my files" page, it lists the 2016 Almanac as "transaction received", but how do I actually download it?

My Android tablet bit the dust a while ago, and I'm flying to Europe for a vacation on Thursday. Seriously considering running out to buy a new tablet just so I can read the pdf on the long flight to CDG.

Thanks for costing me money, FO.

I'm obsessively refreshing for the College version....

The table in the Detroit Secondary blurb (showing the differences in average tackle distance for the top two safeties on a team) is fascinating stuff. I would love to see that become a standard Strategic Tendencies statistic in future editions, as a proxy measure of a team's preference for single-high or two-deep coverages.

It's interesting that you can often tell who wrote a given chapter before you get to the by-line at the end. Tanier cracks a few more jokes than everyone else, Cian uses a lot of scouting terminology, and Rob writes about the Bengals even though it's the Browns chapter.
