Sad news, as one of the greatest assistant coaches in NFL history has died as a result of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident two weeks ago. Howard Mudd was a member of the 1960s All-Decade team as a player but may be more famous for coaching offensive lines around the league, in particular with the Colts during the Manning/Dungy era. Mudd was 78.
1 RIP Mudd was thoroughly…
RIP
Mudd was thoroughly respected and had a tremendous pedigree as a coach. 2020 has not been a good year.
2 He was an offensive line guru
His book on O-line play that was released several years back, Highly recommend it.
