XFL Cancels Rest of Season

Like most of the sports world, the XFL has suspended operations due to safety concerns surrounding COVID-19. In a statement, they did say they were "committed to playing a full season in 2021 and future years."

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network says that following exit physicals on Friday, all XFL players will be free to sign contracts with any NFL team right away.

That's really too bad because I was rooting hard for the xfl.
The nfl needs some ... I wouldnt call it competition, but some fresh air would do the NFL good.

This Corona virus, or covid19 as you like to call it, really throws a wrench in everything.

4 I'm with you

It was a fun watch, I was actually paying a bit of attention to it. It had the potential to turn into a nice "minor league" for the NFL too. I don't know what it was about it, but it just felt like a better product than the other leagues that have started up and failed in the past. Maybe it was the pacing of play from the timing rules that made it more enjoyable.
