T.J. Watt Gets Capital-P Paid

The Pittsburgh Steelers have made their pass-rushing star the highest-paid defender in the NFL. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that T.J. Watt and the Steelers have agreed to a four-year extension worth over $112 million. The real news is in the guaranteed money: $80 million fully guaranteed. As Rapoport notes, the Steelers generally avoid those kind of massive guarantees, but if anyone deserves it, it's Watt—he led all defenders in defeats in 2019 and led all edge rushers in that same category in 2020, and he doesn't turn 27 until next month.

Good job Steelers!

3 Welp

Packers infamously passed on Watt (3 solo tackles, 2 sacks, 1 TFL and 5 QB hits today) for Kevin King (burned to a crisp today) and I'm still depressed.

Anyone want Kevin King? I'm not asking for much.
