NFL Week 10 - Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp is set to undergo surgery on his right ankle to repair a high ankle sprain, according to NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano. Kupp will be placed on injured reserve, missing a minimum of four weeks.

Kupp exited in the fourth quarter of the Rams' loss to the Arizona Cardinals with an ankle injury. He injured the same ankle in Week 8 during garbage time of the Rams' loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Kupp still managed to carry a sizable workload in Week 9, catching eight passes on nine targets for 127 yards and a touchdown.

After a historic 2021 season Kupp has taken a slight step back along with the rest of the Rams offense. Kupp ranks 15th among receivers in DYAR and 24th among receivers in DVOA. However, despite the drop in efficiency, Kupp has still been the centerpiece of the Ram sin 2022. Kupp has a 30.9% target share in the Rams offense and accounts for 37.8% of all Rams receiving yards, catching six of the Rams' nine receiving touchdowns in the process.

Rams now have no offense at all.

That seems like a real "Kupp-half-empty" outlook!

To be fair though, their Kuppboard of playmakers is looking awfully barren.

... the offense goes through Cooper Kupp.  We'll see if the coaches are able to adjust without him.

I also wonder if Stafford's elbow is still bothering him, despite it not showing up on the reports.

As a Lions fan, I think Kupp should take it easy and reKupperate for the rest of the season.

Same.  May as well shut down Stafford too....rest that arm until the Rams are more healthy next year.  Let's give John Wolford an extended audition.

Will the Rams finish as the worst defending champion since 1981 by DVOA?

Not sure. The worst that comes to mind is the 2013 Ravens who had -8.1% and went 8-8.  LAR is currently beating that pretty easily(-17.7) and a Kupple ways they could improve are off the table so...seems possible.
