NFL Offseason - The San Francisco 49ers and wide receiver Deebo Samuel have agreed on a three-year contract extension worth up to $73.5 million with $58.1 million guaranteed, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

In 2021, Samuel became the first player in league history to gain 1,400 yards receiving and rush for eight touchdowns in the same season. The question now is whether he will still be used so much as a runner going forward. He had 53 carries in San Francisco's last eight regular-season games and 27 more in the playoffs, but has expressed concern about his ability to handle that kind of workload in the future.

Deebo: Look at what DK just got! I want more than that!

49ers: That's not what we agreed to!

Deebo: At least let me make it in incentives!

Impressive career 6.8 ypc still pales to his 10.6 y/tgt (y/rec obviously more). Probably still best to use him as a receiver and honor his request.

I find it hilarious that the funny-money one-upsmanship game that Adams and Hill started basically died with them. Which is good to see, honestly.

Still really curious to see if teams in the end view any of these contracts as worth it. Certainly isn't working out too great for the Cardinals and didn't work out well for the Falcons/Titans.
