NFL Week 3 - Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett was reportedly involved in a single car crash Monday afternoon following team practice, according to reports from ABC 5 Cleveland. The news station confirmed reports with Ohio State Highway Patrol officers.

Garrett attended team practice that day and had seemingly crashed his car on the way home. Ohio State Highway Patrol officers told News 5 that Garrett's 2021 Porsche flipped several times before coming to a stop. Both Garrett and a female passenger were taken to the hospital to treat for non-life threatening injuries.

The report added that neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the crash, and both passengers were wearing seatbelts.

Glad both in the car sound like they will be OK. Also glad to hear no intoxication involved. Modern sports cars are easier to drive than such things used to be but can still lose it suddenly, especially if you turn off some features thinking you will have more fun. Seatbelts and airbags are remarkably effective, especially in such vehicles, hopefully just shaken up and some bruises.

Don't need to be intoxicated to drive faster than is safe. Being a young male in a Porsche can be sufficient.

It's amazing how well things come out when stuff goes wrong if you're not messed up and trust modern safety features. Glad everyone seems to be OK.

Modern cars are amazing.  I hit black ice on the highway a few years ago and went head first into a concrete block.  Got out of the car and thought "How am I still alive?"  Pretty sure I wouldn't have been had I been driving any of the first 4 or 5 cars I owned back in the 80s and 90s.  Car was totaled, the only door that could open was the driver side door I exited by; I literally didn't have a scratch on me.
