NFL Offseason - The Cincinnati Bengals have agreed to sign former Kansas City Chiefs tackle Orlando Brown Jr., according to a report from NFL Network's Mike Garafolo
.

Brown's new contract comes with a $31 million signing bonus. As part of the deal, Brown will play left tackle. According to Garafolo, Brown was adamant about not switching to the right side of the line.

Brown joined the Chiefs in 2021 in a trade from Baltimore, playing over 1,000 regular season snaps in each of his two years with Kansas City. In 2022, Brown allowed a career-high 38 blown blocks and five sacks on a 3.6% blown block rate.

Kansas City has now lost both their starting tackles from the 2022 season, with Andrew Wylie signing a deal with the Washington Commanders at the start of free agency. The Chiefs began their free agency period agreeing to a contract with former Jacksonville Jaguars tackle Jawaan Taylor.

This makes sense for both teams. Brown is not an elite LT, but he will improve Cincinnati's colander line. The Chiefs don't have to pay top dollar for a player who was never going to be what you really want at the position.
