Cardinals Hire Monti Ossenfort as General Manager

NFL Wild Card - The Arizona Cardinals are set to hire Tennessee Titans director of player personnel Monti Ossenfort to be their next general manager, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.  

Ossenfort joined the Titans in 2020 after serving as the director of college scouting for the New England Patriots, where he won four Super Bowls. Ossenfort also served stints in scouting departments for the Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings.

In addition to finding late-round starters in cornerback Kristian Fulton, linebacker Monty Rice and tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo, Tennessee was also found starting-quality UDFAs in defensive tackle Teair Tart and wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine under Ossenfort. 

According to Rapoport, Ossenfort will work with Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill to hire the team's head coach.
