This comment, Vince: "By trading back so frequently, the Seahawks have surrendered their best chance to replace the Legion of Boom with players of similar talent."

A little tone deaf? Where did those Legion of Boom players get chosen in the draft? Was there a first rounder among them?

I said "best chance," not "only chance." First-round picks are likely to be better players than third- or fifth-round picks, no matter how many times Seattle has gotten lucky in the later rounds in the past.

Earl Thomas was 2nd safety off the board at 14 in 2010. Kam Chancellor 5th round in 2010, Richard Sherman, same round a year later.

For the DBS, Earl Thomas was drafted 14th; I think the others were late picks.
