ESPN Upset Watch: Bears over Cowboys

Today's upset watch looks at the Bears, fifth in VOA and underdogs on the road against Dallas, 18th. Two similar teams, with two differences: special teams and penalties. Special teams are also the secret behind our Cover Watch, Tennessee at Houston.

I don't see why this would be considered much of an upset, with or without VOA.

There are loads and loads of Cowboy fans and most of them are dumb enough to bet on their team no matter what. That'll change betting lines.

Any time they lose, America is a better place. This week, we are all Bears fans.

To the extent that we communally gather to mock and cheer against the Cowboys, yes we are.

But we don't blame the Cowboys as much as CBS for anointing the corporate-excess darlings "America's Team" and causing well over 70% of the country to gag every time they said it.

That's the spirit! Bathe in the glow of the Beloved, bask in their magnificence, worry about their offensive line....
