Kind of amazing that the Jets might have had the three best rookies this year, and still missed the playoffs.

Having a great rookie class and still ending up with a top 10 pick the next year isn’t a terrible place to be in the long run. Assuming you don’t totally screw up the second draft.

But, you know, Jets…

Saleh seems competent for once and having a good draft is an encouraging sign.  They still need a QB but cautious optimism might be warranted.

Yeah, that QB, kind of an important position.

I suspect Jimmy GQ will be in NY before long. Shoot, with all the Shanahan coaches scattered over the league looking for QBs, the guy shouldn't have trouble finding work.

Not particularly spicy take: If Hall stays healthy I think they make it.

I know he was no great shakes in pass pro, but always surprised to see Tyler Smith graded so bad in pass rush win rate. I guess that is a testament to Dak (and Cooper Rush). If you take just the last few games as a sample, the Dallas offense sure seemed to function better with Smith at tackle than at guard. Hopefully there are better days to come.

Got a kick out of Buck and Aikman suggesting Smith s/b in consideration for rookie of the year. As a fan, sure, yeah, put him up there in the convo! But there has been zero objective evidence for such consideration.
