Is Amari Cooper worth $20MM? The Cowboys probably would have squeaked by the 49ers in the Divisional Round with any sort of deep threat. That's gotta be worth something.

Now Dallas is kicking the tires on OBJ, who will almost certainly be more expensive than Cooper. At his non-injured peak, he's certainly better than Cooper, but is he good enough to get the Cowboys past the 49ers AND the Eagles? I guess we are going to find out ...

I can't read the article, so I'm not sure if there is some reasoning in there that I missed, but I can't imagine Beckham will get $20MM+, even in the current receiver market. He's 31 years old, missed all of last season due to injury, and in the previous two seasons, he totaled 856 yards in 21 games. Even if you remove his time on the Browns, where there were other issues, he only averaged 38 yards/game with the Rams and a healthy Stafford throwing to him. His entire recent resume is built off 288 yards and 2 TDs in the Rams' four playoff games following the 2021 season, but even that's barely a 1,000 yard pace.

He definitely has some talent, but there's no way a team can bank on him to make an impact except in short spurts. I could see a team taking a one-year flier on him, but not for more than $10MM or so.

In the article, Shatz just says that Dallas signing OBJ would upgrade the receiving corps by giving Lamb some help and turning Gallup into one of the league's best WR3.

I agree that teams should be skeptical about OBJ's impact given his age and injury history. However, there was chatter late last season that the three-time Pro Bowler would be able to command $20MM per year. Perhaps his inability to get back on the field in 2022 will reduce that number, but I wouldn't be surprised if some desperate team is willing to pay big for his potential.

There's no point signing OBJ with Schotty and McCarthy calling plays.  #establishtheruninthefaceofallfactsandreason

Schultz is fine but I'd rather get Bobby Wagner (and block a division rival) then draft a guy like Michael Mayer if you think they need such a TE.

The Texans need most things, but I'd make G and C the highest priorities - especially if the plan is to draft Young.

The Eagles comment is so weird. Jordan Davis is a nose tackle. He played 1-tech last year. How do you line up a 1-tech beside a 1-tech? Unless the idea is to push Davis outside, weirdly? I mean, he did play 3-tech in college a bit, but he's already played 1-tech in the NFL. So... seems an odd comment.
