So a 3.75 Million Apology, with injury protection of 34 million.
Basically, a PR move by the Skins, little risk, little loss and makes everyone else a little happier and the media gets to clamour screaming $40 Million for the next week.

Only the Redskins would have a PR move that gives a benched player a contract extension and causes everyone to roll their eyes.

Man--here I had this humorous post thought up elaborating what was mentioned in the other McNabb extension thread, about how the dark-haired woman in the ad was McNabb's agent, negotiated directly with Chainsaw Dan, and procured him all this money. Now, with only a minimal financial risk, the post isn't nearly as humorous because the contract isn't as stupid as it seemed yesterday.

Still, the announcement had Washington fans and the league going "huh?" collectively, and I doubt the effect in the locker room was any different. I wonder if it negatively affected the team last night. Maybe they could have held Vick to 49.
