ESPN: Week 7 Fantasy Matchups

ESPN: Week 6 Fantasy Matchups

In this week's fantasy matchups column, our advice is basically to start your Cowboys, start your Bengals, and sit your Texans. Yes, that includes Arian Foster if you're brave enough to pull the trigger.

ESPN: Detroit Needs to Diversify Its Offense

The Lions' pass offense has been impressive in their 4-0 start, but what about that 30th-ranked running game? This week's Monday Night Football column looks at how the disparity between the two raises red flags about Detroit's Super Bowl prospects.

ESPN: Analyzing the Colts' Injury Issues

Indianapolis' season is basically over at this point with Peyton Manning gone, but the Colts have also sustained a number of other injuries this season. This is not a one-year trend in the slightest -- the Colts lead the NFL in Adjusted Games Lost over the past five seasons. Why is that?

Colts Game Stats Analyses

Over at Coltzilla, staff writer Jacob Crocker does a bang-up job providing charting-style statistical reports after each game. Especially interesting -- at least to me -- is the weekly info about each quarterback's average time from snap to pass. Kind-of-shocking revelation: Colt McCoy got rid of the ball in Week 2 about as fast as Peyton Manning did on his average pass in 2010. Not-so-shocking revelation: A musket fires faster than Kerry Collins.

The reports seem to come out each Friday, so I guess that means Crocker's breakdown of the Steelers game will be up on the site later today. The link above is to his Week 2 analysis. Here's Week 1.

ESPN: Week 3 Fantasy Matchups

The recipe for this week's fantasy matchups cocktail includes one part '80s television humor, two parts self-scouting about the projection model, two parts tying up of loose procedural ends, two parts not-so-inside 49ers knowledge, and eight parts analysis -- plus or minus X, of course.

ESPN: Week 2 Fantasy Matchups

Look, kids, the big table is back! To clarify: We're changing things this year so the big table has a total of points, not a percentage. That total represents the impact of this week's matchup on how many points a player will score compared to the average at his position. It doesn't represent who is the best player of the week overall.
