If I Were At Media Day ...

DJ Gallo doesn't have a press pass for the Super Bowl, but if he did, here are some of the questions he'd ask.

Hopefully next year ESPN will take the press pass from one of thier "journalists" (Bayless, Skip or Whitlock, Jason come to mind) and give it to DJ Gallo.

"very tempted or extremely tempted?"

Wow, he's the funniest sports writer I've ever read. I used to like Simmons when he first moved to Page 2, but he's got nothing on Gallo. As long as Gallo doesn't start using the same five jokes in every column, anyway.

Jason Whitlock isn't nearly as bad as Bayless, in my opinion. He's actually gone on the record with against-the-grain opinions that I agreed with on several occasions, so maybe that's why I give him a little more respect.

Bayless, however, seems like a coked up troll, though I really have no clue if he has a drug problem or not. It'd make a great excuse, though..

Gallo is hilarious, but as an avid reader of SportsPickle I was well aware of that I suppose.

Pittsburgh: "Friday declared official Bludgeon People Not Wearing Steelers Gear Day"

That's comedy gold, right there. Of course, since there's only going to be 3 of them in the actual city, that's going to leave a lot of free time that day.

Of course, that will then allow them to show up to whatever bar Trogdor decides to watch the Super Bowl from.

I know his column is of a humorous nature, but is the Belichick thing really true?

Re #8

Yes. Belicheck often makes three and four word mumbled, uninteresting answers.

Oh, the pregame show part? That's true, too.

Sportspickle FTW. Today in Revisionist Sports History is by far the best feature in sports.

Windsor is the greatest place on earth. Tipping strippers with the exchange rate is a great idea. Discount lap dances!

I'm at point 2 at the "I thought I thoughts"... is it going to be funny anywhere?

Sorry to disappoint, but I'll be at a private SB party. That day is not for taking a chance on a bar/restaurant and an unknown crowd. Of course, there's always a chance one of my friends will start something and my party will feature a bench-clearing brawl (I would win, of course)...

heh. Actually, the monday press conferences are always quite interesting, and very educational. post- and pregame comments from BB are ridiculously bland though.

What was surprising, though, was that none of the sites advised against inviting Ray Lewis and his friends.
