NFL Lowdown: Wild Card Weekend

Some read-option talk, a look at the weak link in the Packers offensive line, and a note about how bad Texans games look a lot like good Texans games.

Marvellous timing. Lunchtime and I was just looking for something to read while eating.

The inevitable result of me spitting my food onto my screen with laughter is just a consequence I'll have to live with.

Isn't Alfred Morris #46?

Backup RB Evan Royster is #22. I would guess that he was in for the play diagrammed in the article.

I guess part of the reason Adrian Peterson has been so effective is he's been running behind two offensive lines vice the standard one other running backs use.

A great many running backs average more than 1000 yards per offensive line, I don't understand all this Peterson for MVP talk

The irony is that it's the Packers who have fielded two OLs this year...

What’s fun and energizing about watching the Vikings is that they make everything look difficult.
Nicely put. The following paragraphs made me want to root for the Vikings, even though I really like my Packers-fan brother-in-law. So I'll just root for more sweet writing.

The whole paragraph might be the funniest thing I've read this season:

What’s fun and energizing about watching the Vikings is that they make everything look difficult. Adrian Peterson’s brilliance is bruised and sweaty, and just about everyone else on the roster plays each game as though he is thankful and mildly surprised to still be in the business. Watching some of the top playoff contenders is like watching "American Idol;" watching the Vikings is like watching "Swamp Loggers." They don’t play football. They work football.

Actually, this is the funniest thing I've read this season...
