Minny-Detroit might be a more apt rivalry for modern times: A beaten and battered home of former industrial might, assailed by gun toting survivalists and ice-fishermen. In funny hats. With horns. Wait, is this a Mad Max movie?

I think I knew that definition before I had ever heard of the vegetable. Probably thanks to Bob Prince.
