Week 6 N.F.L. Matchups

It took a lot of brainstorming this week, but I finally realized who Andy Dalton reminds me of.

Lions are three years removed from Millen?

He's probably still miffed that he's not getting any credit for their current success...

Great article as always, with only one glaring error-- it is not only possible, it is extremely easy to hate someone named Jed.

Mike, would you mind telling us how you really feel about
Jā€™Marcus Webb and Frank Omiyal?

That's a funny, yet apt, Bengals rundown. You're a good man for going with Dickey Betts, and not, say, Duane Allman.

"when a player like Henderson has one catch in two games, you are tempted to think something is wrong with him, when actually the Saints would have to control the clock for about 80 minutes to get everyone the playing time he deserves. "

This is true. However, Devery Henderson played last game with a calf injury he sustained in practice. Perhaps they should have deactivated him and let Adrian Arrington play that game.

"The promising rookie quarterback Andy Dalton looks a lot like Speedy the Alka Seltzer tablet"

Oh my god! That thing is real??

When you can balance a tack hammer on your head, you will head off your foes with a balanced attack

Loved the CHI-MIN segment. You could read that off like a play-by-play instead of actually watching the game, anymore.

A. Dagton look like real life acd adult version Howdy Doody.

I would say little Ronnie Howard, but then that would probably lead to a thread hijacking where everyone names famous readheads.

Okay--I think we can safely say that RJ is NOT Al Davis--unless the spirit world has WIFI.
RJ--did you go to the funeral (or was it possible?) Has your liver recovered from your (presumable) Sierra Nevada binge?

by Raiderjoe :: Tue, 10/18/2011 - 12:17am

"it is impossible to hate anyone named Jed" Marcellus Wallace disagrees.

by The Ninjalectual :: Fri, 10/14/2011 - 6:27pm

Yes I reckon he would.

While Marcellus Wallace probably has no love of men named Zed, I'm not sure his opinions on Jeds are known.

by Athelas :: Fri, 10/14/2011 - 5:15pm

Let me fix this:
"it is impossible to hate a man named Jed"
Now everyone keep singing...
