While having a young quarterback the caliber of Kyler Murray on a team's roster normally portends future success, the Cardinals find themselves at a crossroads entering the 2022 season. Arizona has surrounded their young cornerstone with a number of older, big-name veterans over the past few seasons with the goal of assembling a championship contender in the mold of numerous others before them, but all they have to show for it is one playoff appearance, where the eventual champion (and division rival) Rams stomped them in the Wild Card round. While Murray seems likely to perform at a high level again this year, the team has an aging roster around him and will have to contend with some key personnel losses (Chandler Jones) and a tough schedule. As a result, the deep playoff run that the Cardinals have been pursuing since selecting Murray seems unlikely to come to pass this season, and if the Cardinals miss the postseason, the organization might look a lot different from top to bottom come 2023. -- Carl Yedor
