The Broncos managed to stay in the playoff chase until Week 17, when they were eliminated in an ugly loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. They now face another offseason of questions at head coach, where Vic Fangio's conservativism (and barely-concealed distrust for backup quarterback Drew Lock) hurt them down the stretch, and at quarterback, where Teddy Bridgewater combined injuries with inconsistency and Lock proved yet again to be weak tea Mitch Trubisky. The Broncos have young talent all over the roster, but it has been a long time since they have had a coaching staff capable of making the most of that talent. -- Mike Tanier
