Going into the 2021 season, it felt like there were two possible outcomes for Seattle: win and keep everyone together, or lose and blow the whole thing up. Instead the Seahawks chose Option C: lose, then bring most people back for another go. Pete Carroll and John Schneider are definitely on board, and it seems most likely that Russell Wilson will also return. The big change is on defense, where coordinator Ken Norton has been shown the door and Clint Hurtt has been promoted. It will be up to Hurtt to figure out how to get more value out of Jamal Adams. Schneider, meanwhile, must decide what to do with Bobby Wagner—cutting the linebacker, who will be 32 this year, will clear over $16 million in cap space—and how to improve the team without their first-round draft pick, which was surrendered in the Adams trade. — Vincent Verhei
