Through five games in 2020, Russell Wilson was the MVP frontrunner, leading the pass-happy Seahawks to nailbiter victories necessitated by the team's abysmal defensive performances. But after a turnover-heavy stretch from Wilson at midseason and a trade for former Bengals pass rusher Carlos Dunlap, Seattle recalibrated the offense a bit heading into the home stretch and started winning games in a style more in line with the Pete Carroll brand. A disappointing playoff loss to the Rams set up an offseason beset by chaos early on, as Wilson's frustrations with his surroundings resulted in leaks to the media about potentially wanting out. Wilson's back on board (for now), but if the team can't break through the divisional-round wall that has been in place since their infamous Super Bowl loss to New England, we may be hearing more about Wilson trade destinations come March of 2022.
