The Chargers survived the offseason without a catastrophic injury spree for the first time since Dan Fouts slipped on a banana peel in the locker room and took out Kellen Winslow and Charlie Joiner in the mid-1980s. Justin Herbert, Keenan Allen, Derwin James and Joey Bosa will all suit up together this season, giving us our first glimpse in years of what the Los Angeles Chargers are supposed to look like. Brandon Staley kept all of his starters under wraps throughout the preseason -- who can blame him? -- making it hard to gauge just where to set expectations. We’ll learn in the weeks to come whether the Chargers are a stealth contender or a rebuilding team that’s top-heavy with a handful of big-name stars.
