The Dolphins took a step back from 10-6 and a 12th place DVOA ranking in 2020 to 9-8 and a 24th place ranking in 2021. But their eight wins in their last nine games and creative transformation into the heaviest RPO offense in football offered their fans hope for 2022. Or it did until the team fired overachieving head coach Brian Flores. In light of that decision and subsequent reports that the team made every effort possible to trade for the Joe Burrow pick, one has to wonder if their front office spends more time on office politics than improving the team. It does not seem like a recipe to revive Tua Tagovailoa's franchise quarterback reputation however encouraging his -8.5% and -0.7% passing DVOA rates from his first two seasons. - Scott Spratt
