If things hold as they currently stand, the Tennessee Titans would make Football Outsiders history. Not only would they be the worst No. 1 seed by DVOA since 1983, but they would also be the only team to clinch the top spot with a negative DVOA. You can read more about the historic significance of this in our Week 17 DVOA review, but a lot of that can be chalked up to the fact that Tennessee set a new record for most players used in a season. Those replacement-level players have held up their end of the bargain, though. D'Onta Foreman's 81 DYAR has nearly caught up to the 97 DYAR mark Derrick Henry set before his injury. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine's DYAR rank (55th) isn't too far behind A.J. Brown's (46th), either. Since their Week 13 bye, Tennessee has also played four straight games with a negative defensive DVOA. With Derrick Henry officially returning to practice, the pieces may be falling into place for Tennessee to make some noise this postseason. – Cale Clinton
